Dr Fleur Martin
Dr Fleur is our Clinical Director and graduated from the University of Queensland in 2003.
After 3 years in small animal practice in Melbourne and Country Victoria, Fleur moved to Darwin to work for four years.
Fleur loves to travel and has spent time in India volunteering with Vets Beyond Borders in 2008, and hopes to do more of this in the future. Fleur then moved back to her hometown and joined the team at Northside Vet Care in 2013.
While Fleur loves all aspects of general veterinary practice, her main interests are small animal medicine and soft tissue surgery. Fleur is focused on continuing education and enjoys keeping current with the latest advances. Recently she has been on expanding her small animal emergency medicine skills.
In her spare time, Fleur enjoys hiking and pottery. She also loves spending time with her cat name Hairy Mary and her friends and family.
Dr Kayo Kuroda
BVSc MANZCVS - Small Animal Dentistry & Oral Surgery Veterinarian
Dr Kayo graduated from the University of Queensland in 2006, working in small animal practice in Beenleigh for 2 years before joining us at Northside Vet Care in 2009.
Kayo has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a special interest in dentistry and oral surgery. She has been training under the guidance of a specialist veterinary dentist and recently passed her Membership examinations for the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientist in the field of Small Animal Dentistry. Kayo also has a particular interest in cats and completed further post graduate education in feline medicine through Sydney University in 2013.
In her spare time, Kayo enjoys travelling and spending time with her partner and two very cheeky feline friends called April and Jordie.
Dr Yuki Ko
BVSc Hons Veterinarian
Dr Yuki graduated from the University of Queensland in 2020 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) and joind the Northside Vet care tem in early 2021.
She can speak fluent Cantonese, Mandarin and English! Outside of work, Dr Yuki enjoys cooking, baking, playing table tennis and spending time with her mischievous cat Skyler.
Stephanie has been apart of the Northside Vet Care team since 2004.
She has a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and enjoys all facets of Veterinary Nursing.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys being outdoors, especially at the beach with her twin girls and friends.
Melissa started her vet nursing career in a very large practice in Rockhampton in 2010. She joined the team at Northside Vet Care in 2013 after moving south to call Brisbane home, and obtained her Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing qualification in 2014. Melissa’s favourite things about being a vet nurse include surgical nursing and patient care.Our hospitalised patients benefit from the time and meticulous attention to detail Melissa gives to their medical care and rehabilitation.
In addition to nursing, Melissa enjoys marketing and and assisting Bree with our social media platforms.
Melissa has a very active and beautiful Staffy called Lana whom she enjoys taking on camping adventures with the family.
Michele joined the team as a veterinary nurse in early 2016, bringing with her a variety of experience from other business sectors and a focus on top quality customer service. She has proudly completed her Certificate IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing.
General dentistry and oral hygiene care are particular interests of Michele’s. Michele will work with you to tailor a dental care plan to suit your pet’s particular needs throughout every stage of their life.
A variety of pets are lucky to be part of Michele’s family, including a golden Labrador named Willow and three cats called Kitty Puss, Izzy Sparkles, and Maisie. Mickey the bird and Bruce Gilis the fish complete the pet clan.
Sarah joined the Northside Vet Care team in 2018, after 10 years working as a Veterinary Nurse in semi-regional mixed practices.
Sarah has a wealth of knowledge behind her in both small and large animal medicine. She has a keen interest in diagnostic imaging as well as medical and surgical nursing, which our patients benefit from during their time here in clinic. Sarah’s meticulous care, extensive experience and can-do attitude to her work is visible both behind the scenes and with clients.
While not at work, Sarah is busy at home with her partner and pets! Clover the very energetic Kelpie, Bobby McGee the Jack Russel Terrier, a recently hand-raised potty calf named Danny and four horses Princess, Attitude, Pepi and Abbey.
Jenna has been with us since the beginning of 2013. Jenna has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and loves acquiring new knowledge relating to our furry friends. She is currently undertaking further study in dog behaviour. Jenna also regularly undertakes instructing puppy pre-school classes.
A multi-skilled vet nurse, Jenna is particularly knowledgeable and passionate about clinical nutrition and will tailor a personal nutrition plan to your pet for any dietary requirements your pet may have. She also enjoys the fast pace of nursing emergency cases, and will happily invest her time intensively caring for our critical patients.
Ella is Jenna’s beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel whom you may see around the clinic from time to time.
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Andrea started Veterinary Nursing in 2011 and joined the Northside Vet Care team in 2015. She is also working as a Trainer for Veterinary Students.
Andrea likes all areas of General Practice nursing, she particularly has a passion for sustainability and clinical patient care. She is also one of our Puppy School teachers.
Andrea has a cat named Ceefa. In her spare time she sings in a band with her brother and volunteers for other areas of the industry such as Pets In The Park.
Connie has been in the Veterinary industry for 10 years, she join Northside Vet Care in late 2020.
Born in Chille, Connie made the move to Australia in 2019. She enjoys all aspects of nursing with a special interest in medical cases.
Connie has two energetic boys aged 4 and 6 years old. Their cat named Run-Run who is 2 years old keeps everyone entertained in the home.
Leisha joined Salon 104 Pet Grooming in late 2014. She gained all of her knowledge and was taught from a Master Groomer in Sydney.
Leisha enjoys grooming dogs in styles at the owners requests. She also likes to explore with stlyes for your fury cats. Leisha has groomed cats to make them look like a dinosaur, have spiral tailes, a mullet and the traditional lion clip.
She has four cats named Sabrina, Sasha, Sebastian, and Sia and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Senri. When Leisha is not spending time with her pets she enjoys skating with her friends.
Lloys is one of our wonderful groomers and has been grooming for 4 years. She joined Salon 104 Pet Grooming in late 2019.
Her gentle way with animals put them and their owners at ease during their pamper session.
In her spare time, Lloys enjoys bushwalking, going to the beach, camping and spending time with her French Bulldog Louie.
Esteban joined Northside Vet Care in 2020.
You will find Esteban hydrobathing every Saturday morning.
Born in Columbia, Esteban moved to Australia 2 years ago, and is nearly halfway through Year 10. Esteban has a love of photography and hiking.
He also enjoys playing video games and spending time with Louie, his playful French Bulldog
